tonight my last class is dismissed, so i have time to make a quick post before resuming new homework and watching korean dramas :)
in this post i will share my latest article about my statement fashion item : COAT
hope this could help you when it comes to COAT
People often ask me what my favorite fashion item is. But
most of time I don’t give them straight answer about the exact item that I love
the most. Let me think…even though fashion industry revolve and craving for a
sudden change, but my favorite fashion item apart from the design it must be
have several functions, a piece that I want to wear again and again.
From over coat to the classic peacoat, See these items on or
off the runways every fall/winter season makes me dying to have them. Not to mention the ability to pull together
any look from day time activity to evening event makes this item always be on
trend for over the years.
I think this is the perfect time to bring this item back to
life from our wardrobe limbo because these past few days the weather in Jakarta
more like a scary roller coaster than a peaceful sleeping baby, it’s sunny and
bright in the morning turns windy and stormy for the next couple hours.
As we know, this “made for fall/winter” item is unsuitable
for tropical season that we have here. But who says we can’t make this item to
be one of our annual trend? Well, the fact is we CAN. We can create our own
“fall/winter season” style when the rainy season is coming.
With this timeless fashion item on mind, the idea to showing
off the mighty purpose of this item on rainy season is become more realistic
than ever. All I know is when the sun
heating like hell then pouring rain suddenly replacing the heat with wet wind
then all we need is important transition piece to warm up the ensembles. For
the conclusion, These days coat is 100% the best companion to face the hard
rain and strong wind but can make my simple style looks more dramatic at the
same time.
But some people in Jakarta think that wearing winter coat is
too much. I have some interesting tips and tricks how to make my favorite coat
looks cool every time I wear it. Wearing coat isn’t about winter and layering
clothes. Well, Here are some ensemble combos you can peek and copy :
First ensemble : going to an evening event? Or romantic
dinner with your partner? mini dress always be the safest choice to be paired
with long coat. Don’t over doing the accessories. Just wear couple rings or
statement necklace and complete the
ensemble with statement heels and oversized clutch.
Second ensemble : for the girl who wants to keep her
off-duty chic and super casual, why not try to pairing your peacoat or parka
with your favorite skinny denim and sheer shirt …and don’t forget to wear a
pair ankle boots.
Third ensemble : want
to look super edgy? Let’s focused on menswear-inspired ensemble. First, choose
leather coat combined with tweed material, don’t forget to pair it with leather
legging and loose boy t-shirt.
Whether you going for androgynous or lady-like kind of
style, coat will make your presence known.
